Ametrine (7 on Mohs) is a naturally bi-colored quartz — the purple zones are amethyst, the gold zones are citrine, formed together in one crystal under uneven heat and iron distribution underground. Nearly all commercial ametrine traces back to Bolivia's Anahí mine.

VVS clarity — inclusions are extremely difficult to see even under 10x magnification; this stone reads eye-clean.
